John Baker, General Manager of Activar’s Florida facility, has been promoted to Vice President of the Activar Construction Products Group.  John will now lead the Product Development Program for all five companies in the group – JL Industries, Samson Products, Thomas Enterprises, Air Louvers and Hiawatha Inc., as well as managing the company-wide Business Strategy Planning and Improvement Process.

John has held a variety of positions through his 25 year career with the company including Customer Service Manager, International Sales Representative, and most recently General Manager of the Fort Myers manufacturing location.  He will continue to be based in Fort Myers and to oversee the Florida plant operations.

The Activar Construction Products Group, based in Minnesota, provides products to the commercial construction industry.  Products include AED’s & cabinets, fire extinguishers & cabinets, metal access panels, roof hatches, and entrance floor mat systems.   JL operates from 8 locations in the US with 3 manufacturing plants; Minnesota, Florida and California.
