Adding Your Favorite Pages to Your Browser

You Can Keep Your Most-Used Information at Your Fingertips!

It’s easy to make this link a convenient bookmarked (favorites)  website on your browser that you can get to with a single click.

When you are on the website page that you wish to add as a favorite or bookmark, use the “CTRL-D” command.  Make sure that the title that comes up makes sense to you  You can re-title from ACPG to JL or any other name that you like - see my example below. The web page will be added to your Favorites or Bookmark list!  This works the same for Internet Explorer, FireFox and Chrome.  If you are familiar with this function you will probably add to an existing folder, if not it will probably go onto the main listing.  In the case of Chrome – it will go directly onto the bookmark bar.

I recommend that frequent website users make all of their favorite pages a favorite to save them time.  You may want to bookmark the “submittals” page, and any products that you use frequently such as “ambassador”: http://www.activarcpg.com/jl-industries/product/277/ambassador-series---steel-fire-extinguisher-cabinets  or they can bookmark a search result such as “fire extinguishers”: http://www.jlindustries.com/jl-industries/products/34/fire-extinguishers.

To add a link to your favorites bar so you can see it all of the time when on the internet:

Internet explorer - Make sure that the “favorites” bar is activated on their browser software by right clicking on any toolbar at the top – “favorites bar” should be selected with a check mark.   Click on the “Add to Favorites Bar” button. Again, make sure that the title works for you.

Fire Fox – CTRL-D this time select the “Bookmark Menu” dropdown and click “Bookmarks Toolbar”. Again, make sure that the title works for you.

Chrome – CTRL-SHIFT-B to make sure the “bookmark bar”  is activated on their browser. CTRL-D to add items to this bar.  Again, make sure that the title works for you.  Lists of bookmarked websites need to be set up separately.
