This 2-4 Hour Fire-Rated Access Panel Features an Upward-Swinging Door. Door Swings into the Ceiling Recess.  With New Testing - This Model Now Has a 2 Hour Combustible and 4 hour Non-Combustible Listing!  The 3 Hour Rated FD3CI has been Incorporated into the FD2CI Model.

Construction: Painted galvanized steel or 304 stainless steel.

Frame: 16 ga (1.61mm) steel up to and including 30” x 48” or 14ga (1.99mm) steel for larger sizes. Depth = 3-1/2” (89mm)

Wall Trim: Width - 7/8” (22mm) up to and including 36” x 36” or 1-1/4” (32mm) for larger sizes.

Door Panel: 18 ga (1.31mm) with 22 ga (0.85mm) liner - Door widths up to 48” W.

Insulation: The door panel contains 1-1/2” (38mm) of high temperature insulation material.

Finishes: Electrostatically-applied rust-inhibitive off-white prime coat or a No. 4 polished stainless steel finish on exterior surface.

Hinges: The concealed continuous piano hinge allows the door panel  to open into a vertical position.  The hinge is placed on the long side of the door (“H” dimension).

Panel Closer: The design of the unit allows the door to be self-closing. 

Latch: The standard factory installed latch is a flush mount 1/4” allen key. 1 Latch provided for each panel. All fire-rated locks are self-latching and include an interior latch release mechanism allowing the doors to be opened from the inside. On panels of 32" and larger on any side, a single point operator will be provided to open the 2 latches simultaneously.

Listing: This model of wall and ceiling fire-rated panels is manufactured under the factory inspection service of Intertek Warnock Hersey™ and have a label reading: “Listed access door and frame assembly (insulated).  Horizontal Installation only.
