Double door smoke vents automatically open during a fire when a fusible link melts, releasing harmful smoke and fumes. This UL-listed smoke vent has a variety of options to fit many building types. Galvanneal steel and aluminum construction with powder coat finish provide years of durable service. R-6 insulation in curb and cover help to maintain building energy efficiency. Formerly known as the UFV, UFSH or FSH series.

Product Specifications

Material: Curb is 14 gauge galvanneal steel and cover is 11 gauge aluminum with 18 gauge aluminum cover liner

Finish: Silver textured powder coat paint

Gasketing: Weatherproof EPDM sponge rubber adhesive-backed seal

Insulation: 1” polyisocyanurate (R-6) on curb and in cover

Hinges: Heavy-duty aluminum hinge with bolt pin

Hold-Open Arm: Clear zinc-plated steel hold-open arm

Latches: Rotary latch mechanism designed to hold covers closed against 90psf wind uplift. Opens manually with internal and external manual pull handles and automatically with fusible link.

Operation: Gas springs automatically open covers when 165°F fusible link melts or when exterior or interior pull handles are utilized. The hatch lids are dampened by a hydraulic shock to control operating speed.

Certifications: UL 793 listed and labeled up to 48” x 96”
